Name change services compared: plans, forms and support
Name-change services sell different kinds of help. Some organize the next steps; others prepare forms, print them or supply mailing materials. Choose the job you want help with before comparing the price. A less expensive organizer will not replace a prepared-form service if filling out paperwork is the work you want handled.
My New Surname publishes this comparison and sells one of the options described. We reviewed provider pages on October 21, 2026; we did not purchase or test these services.
Compare the work, not the package name
Compare which materials the service finds, what preparation it explains, how it handles route and fee conditions, and how it helps you return to unfinished work. If you want applications filled with your information, ask which forms are prepared and what remains blank. If printing or getting help is the obstacle, compare the shipped materials and support included in the exact tier.
“Full Service” is a provider’s package name. It does not by itself mean someone files with the government for you. Compare the delivered work and the steps you still perform. Agency fees are separate from these service prices.

This online name-change service brings official forms and services, preparation, relevant fees and progress into a guided workspace. Your state, records, circumstances and reported progress shape the project, including employer, financial and insurance updates. It does not fill, print, mail or file applications. Use it in this browser or choose optional saving for access on another device. Check the supported marriage-name-change route and inspect a personalized preview without a card or payment before deciding. The public fictional sample shows the guided experience. The separate Name Day gift includes the same product; a recipient does not need to buy it again.
Best for: Having the relevant official materials, preparation and next steps together when you will complete the updates yourself.

Best for: Selected prepared forms and instructions, with a shipped option for printed materials and envelopes.

Other explanatory pages describe mailed materials, but the offer page reviewed here did not establish a current mailed-package price. Confirm availability if that is what you need.
Best for: Prepared materials and instructions when you intend to print them yourself.

What to confirm before paying
Match your situation to the provider’s eligibility first. Then compare the actual output: which forms are completed, whether you supply sensitive fields yourself, what you must print, and what requires an appointment or mailing. For support, look beyond “included” to the channel and the questions the service will handle. Read the privacy and refund terms on the provider’s own site.
A package description can establish what a provider says it sells. It cannot establish how much time you will save, how well support will work for you or whether an agency will accept your application. Those outcomes were not tested in this comparison.
