For an adult U.S. citizen taking their spouse’s current last name unchanged after a marriage recorded in the United States and living in a covered state. You can also buy before a planned U.S. wedding and prepare now. Continue with the same purchase afterward. A wedding date is optional.

It does not cover hyphenated or newly created surnames, court-ordered changes, divorce, children’s name changes or immigration-related routes.

Any state ID or vehicle records you want to update must already be in your selected state. Vehicle ownership must stay the same. It’s fine if you have no ID or vehicle records to update.
